Cactus Backyard - Lewis Glassock - 34331225 - 2024 - ICT 171

My project for this assignment is to have a blog website on random pictures of cactus's in backyards. Im heavily interested in cactus's and have one in my backyard. I want to spread the beauty of having a cactus in your very own backyard by having this website that will hopfully inspire other people.

To do this the blog website will have the domain name of Cactusbackyard.online. I Chose this domain name because its easy to tell what its about, additionally the .online type of the domain name was the cheapest there was for only $2.00 for a year. As a mainly personal use blog website this is ideal.

For this project i have chosen Digital Ocean as my Cloud Service. The reason was because of their easy to use interfaces ,guides and their cheap pricing. I opted in for microsoft azure as my first option but after using it, it didnt really feel very user friendly.

The plan for this blog website is to have a gallery of different cactus's and possibly an area where the the community can post their own pictures. This way the community can express their own love for cactus's in backyards and maybe we will develop a small community even though we expect very little to no traffic on the website.

For my project i chose the MIT License. This license seemed like the best option for me as it has very little to no restrictions in it, this will allow to go into any direction in the future if i decide to change the direction my blog website will go in. It also seemed like right choice for me as im not too inclined on copyright laws, so a license that only requires it to be included in the website seemed like the right choice.
